Grendel Attack is a randomly-occurring feature in the base game. The first sign that this feature is on its way is when the sky above the reels turs red. On its way back, Beowulf will turn some of the positions on the reels into stacked wilds which will remain in position during the spins.

Free Spins

When you land three or more of Grendel’s mother scatter symbols anywhere on the reels, you will enter the free spins round. You get an indeterminate number of spins while a fight between Beowulf and Grendel’s mother will determine the end of the round.
