We've been lucky to have the opportunity to speak with Ivelina Balova - Kia, Product Owner at GONG Gaming. She gave us an insight into some of GONG Gaming's most popular games, as well as a sneak peek into the company's upcoming releases.
Welcome, Ivelina! We appreciate you taking the time to join us in our interview series. Please give us an introduction to GONG Gaming.
"My name is Ivelina Balova - Kia and I am a Product Owner at GONG. My main responsibility is to make sure that all processes are running smoothly between the teams. I work closely with everyone to produce the perfect games from A to Z.
I have 15 years of experience in the industry and I have worked for both online and land-based casinos. The main challenge for me is to create a real casino feel for those that prefer playing from the comfort of their home.
GONG is all about the new approach and innovation. We are not afraid to experiment and create games with completely new feel and look while keeping in mind the classical mechanics."
You’ve been in the industry since 2020 and have been among the top providers for the Best New Provider 2021 Award at the SlotsWise Gaming Awards. What would you say is the reason behind this success?
"We combine classics and innovation and create harmony between the two. We think that the combination of experienced professionals from the industry and fresh, creative people is the way to success."
According to our data, the Maya U Max slot was received particularly well by the players. What do you think are the reasons that this game has proven so popular?
"In the Maya U Max slot, we developed the U Max™ symbol especially for this game which makes it our most innovative project so far. It's the main attraction of the slot because it exponentially increases the number of ways up to 248832."

Are there any specific bonus features or in-game mechanics that you find extra interesting and will include in some upcoming releases?
"Nothing specific, we aim to make ingenious features and game mechanics. We try to be as innovative as possible and strive to make unique features that entertain players."
Could you share some details on what we’ll see from GONG Gaming in 2022?
"2022 is going to be very exciting. We have prepared many interesting and unique games like Witch Feature, Piggy Luck and Moonlight Vegas. You can very soon expect the adventurous Viking Queen, the classic Royal League Book of Raider and many more."
