Smaller providers are often acquired from the big names in the iGaming industry, for which we often inform in the Slotswise News section. However, it isn’t only that small providers are acquired, but this can also occur if big names see good potential in certain studios.

Some of the well-known providers in the industry have this time merged.

Evolution Gaming acquires Nolimit City

Nolimit City, a provider established in 2014, is already well known for more of its games as well as the style it utilises in the themes of the slots. However, it was announced that €200 million is the first part of the amount to be given to the developer to join the Evolution Group

Later on, €140 million more should be given to the acquired provider.

This deal will enable Evolution to have access to a number of popular games from Nolimit City, including Mental slot, East Coast Vs West Coast slot and more. Also, with it, it joins a list of big names like NetEnt and Red Tiger Gaming.

Jens von Bahr, chairman of Evolution, says that With the addition of Nolimit City to the Evolution family, they extend the portfolio of truly innovative and cutting-edge games from the top brands and game makers in the industry.

On the other side, Jonas Tegman, co-founder of Nolimit City also expresses contentment with the deal saying:

“I cannot think of a better match between two companies than between Nolimit City and Evolution, we are fully aligned in terms of people, product, technology and how to get the job done.”

IGT has closed the process of acquisition of iSoftBet

International Game Technology has acquired iSoftBet in a deal worth €160m which allows IGT and its partners to have iSoftBet games available. It is actually that the provider doubled the number of games in its PlayDigital content library and now it has a total of 225 games.

Of course, the games will be available in licenced jurisdictions.

The acquisitor now can also distribute third-party games through a proprietary game aggregation platform. This also refers to data-based promotional devices and user engagement tools

Some of the iSoftBet games are very popular among players and these include titles like the Rise of the Genie slot and Wolf Canyon Hold & Win slot.

IGT noticed a rise in the revenue of 4% as published in the Q1 2022 finance results. The company also reported an operating income of $252 and an income margin of 24%.
