Colorado launched sports betting in May and had a great start. The state has reported great revenue figures and has welcomed Betsson’s gaming services. If everything goes well, the launch of Betsson’s sportsbook in Colorado is planned for the first part of 2021 after it receives regulatory approval from the state.
Today we’re bringing you news about another major sportsbook that is entering the Colorado sports betting market. After launching sports betting in Illinois, William Hill goes live with a new mobile app in Colorado, just in time for the start of the 2020 NFL season. William Hill enters a growing sports betting market and is the sixth online sportsbook available in the state.
Colorado players will have the largest sports betting app available
William Hill is one of the most popular sportsbooks in the United States. Recently, we have reported that William Hill and Caesars Entertainment are negotiating to merge their sports betting and iGaming services within the US. Now, the company expands to Colorado by launching a new sports betting app in the state.
Colorado is the fifth US state where William Hill launched a mobile app, along with Nevada, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Iowa. William Hill’s new launch comes a week before the start of the NFL season, which is a great launch period for online sportsbooks.
The mobile app available in Colorado will be the same one that William Hill launched in New Jersey. New players that will sign up can claim a $500 free bet which comes in the form of instant cash upon deposit. Contrary to the other offers, this money doesn’t need to be wagered to be eligible for withdrawal. The William Hill app will be available on the iOS app store and as an instant play on Android.
Boyd launches mobile sportsbook in Nevada
Apart from Colorado, there is another sports betting market that is growing and welcoming new operators. Namely, the casino operator Boyd Gaming announced its launch of a new mobile sports betting app in Nevada. The launch comes after Boyd announced to have teamed up with FanDuel to launch a new mobile sports betting app in Illinois.
The mobile app is called the “B Connected Sports app” and will operate under the same name of Boyd’s current offerings in the state. However, it will run on IGT’s PlaySports solution. Customers that will use the upgraded Boyd mobile app will be able to place pre-match and in-play bets on sports including basketball, football, hockey, golf, tennis, darts, motor racing, and rugby. There is pending regulatory approval for horse racing betting but users can place racing bets via Boyd’s existing sports app in Nevada.
Bob Scucci, Boyd Gaming’s vice president of race and sports operations, said that the improved B Connection Sports app comes at the perfect time when mobile sports betting is more popular than ever. He explained that with this mobile app, the company created a mobile experience that is easy to use and navigate the betting options, making it one of the best sports betting products in Nevada.
