The Pig Wizard Slot Review
Your wishes for a farm animal/wizard hybrid slot have been granted. Introducing The Pig Wizard slot produced by Blueprint Gaming, a five-reel, 20 payline slot, affectionately named Harry Trotter by some. It is a very interesting game and you can see that a lot of effort has been put by the creators of this game to make it as original as possible.
Some have compared it to Harry Potter, and while there are certain similarities, it is fairer to say that the iconic book series was more of a general inspiration for the creators of The Pig Wizard slot, than to blame them for totally nicking JK Rowling’s theme.
The Pig Wizard Overview
The Pig Wizard is clearly a well-produced slot; you will be seeing a lot of sharply designed objects and other visual elements, including the background area surrounding the reels, as well as the actual symbols.
There are some quite hefty prizes to be won in The Pig Wizard, including a progressive jackpot that is randomly awarded to players who have reached the bonus level. Some quite significant jackpot prizes have been won in the past.
Symbols are tightly linked to the theme and even the low-value card symbols have been designed in the spirit of this game’s original theme. You’ll notice a colour smoke fuming from the lower valued card symbols. Symbols of higher value that appear on the reels include a wizard's hat, a spell book, big gold coins and bags of cash, combining the worlds of wizardry and slots.
Players can also land the pig wizard wild symbol and the pig bonus symbol, both of which have the respective words inscribed across them.
The Pig Wizard slot also caters to all pocket sizes, as spins can cost between 20p and up to a maximum of £400! This isn't a bad thing though, because as is the case with slots, the winnings that players receive are based on the amounts that they have wagered.
How To Play The Pig Wizard Slot
It is not very difficult to play the Pig Wizard slots. In terms of controls and settings, it resembles some other slots by Blueprint Gaming. You will notice small numbers on each side of the reels, these are the paylines. All 20 paylines are active during every spin, you cannot alter their number, and increase or decrease the combinations.
As we have already mentioned, you can play The Pig Wizard slot with just a single penny per combination which would set the overall wager at just 20p, but you may also wager up to £20 per line, in which case the total wager would be £400.
Even though the bet is wagered per payline, you can increase or decrease your total bet, which is perhaps more handy, as that way you will know exactly how much you’re wagering per individual spin. Obviously, the plus button is to increase the wager, whereas by clicking on the minus you will decrease it.
There is also an auto play button, and you can click it if you want to automate the game and set the reels to spin for a longer period of time without having to click ‘spin’ each time. Remember that each of the auto spins will be at the stake that’s active at the moment when you press ‘auto play’.
How To Win The Pig Wizard
You need to get a minimum of three (or two) combinations across a payline in order to activate a winning combination. The award itself depends on the symbol value. For instance, you will win a lot less for the card symbols. If we assume that you’re playing The Pig Wizard with one quid, then you will win only 20p for a combination of three Jacks, three 10s or three Queens.
On the other hand, the two most valuable symbols pay a lot more and you will even get paid for just two symbols across a payline. Speaking of paylines, they are only activated if the symbols are arranged from the leftmost towards the rightmost reel and not the other way around.
If you are fortunate enough to hit five of the more valuable symbols across a payline you will win from £12.50 to £25 with a £1 wager, and if you wager ten times more than ten the potential winnings will also be increased tenfold.
The wild symbol in The Pig Wizard is a substitute for all other symbols, but if you manage to hit a winning combination with five wilds you will win a massive prize worth 1,000 times your wager.
The Pig Wizard Bonus Features
The Magical Map Bonus is launched when the pig bonus symbol lands on reels one, three and five. Players will then be given the option to select one of four bonus rooms to play one of the following games:
- Squeal or No Squeal - ten spell books will appear on the screen and you'll have to select one to reveal a cash prize. You may swap it to try and earn more, but only up to five times
- Trail of Magic - you'll have to roll the dice to move around a board to collect cash and other treats along the way. If you land on a green potion though, the game's over
- Magic Mirror Free Spins - you'll be rewarded free spins and during this feature, all mystery mirrors can change into matching symbols, potentially offering big wins
- Progressive Jackpot - this can be randomly rewarded from the Magical Map to players lucky enough. You can then play one of the other bonus games listed above.
