Welcome, Johan! We're happy to talk to you in our Q&A session. Could you start off by introducing yourself and Just For The Win to our readers?
"Hi! I’m Johan Persson, CEO at Just For The Win Studios. We started up six years ago with the ambition to make fun and innovative games for the slot market, and now here we are with some 50+ employees located across Stockholm and Gothenburg in Sweden and Kyiv, Ukraine.
Our portfolio hosts a wide variety of slots; some with a large following, like Deco Diamonds, Wolf Howl and Western Gold."
Just For The Win has a rich portfolio of online slots, all of which boast innovative features. Could you share some details about the development process of your games?
"Ideas for new, fun mechanics and themes pop up daily, almost always from inside the company. Our talented math team then does their thing to see if the math checks out while one of our game teams plans the project from scratch. Our marketing department then plans the game's release with all our customers. It takes more than what meets the eye to get a game live in all available markets!"
In one of your newest releases, The Bandit and The Baron, you combined expanding wilds, special symbols, respins, and more exciting extras. What was it like developing this game?
"Like all our game projects, we always try to learn from our mistakes and document what we did well. But, most importantly, we try to incorporate a bit of fun into the workday. For example, the Bandit and The Baron's western theme and mechanic is an excellent match with its math model. There is always room for improvement though, as we learn from each new product. It’s not only about making games; it’s about maturing as a company which allows our employees to grow as both professionals and individuals."
Another game that caught our attention is Sherlock and Moriarty WowPot. What inspired you to create this game? Do you plan on releasing new titles that will be part of the WowPot progressive jackpot network?
"We’ve actually been fortunate to create two titles attached to massive progressive jackpots. As you mentioned, we loved creating Sherlock and Moriarty WowPot showcasing mystery symbols, a host of features in free spins and of course the massive WowPot four-tiered progressive jackpot – the largest seeding at 2 million!
Just For The Win also released Juicy Joker Mega Moolah featuring the jackpot known the world over. Juicy Joker Mega Moolah was a really fun title to develop with vibrant colours and graphics alongside some really immersive and fun mechanics. It’s an honour to create titles that belong to the WowPot and Mega Moolah catalogue of games.

What do you want to offer to the players through your slots? Name three of the most important characteristics of your games.
"We always strive toward improving our products. For Just For The Win, we strive to ensure our titles are simple to learn and understand, have a low barrier to entry – meaning all levels of players can enjoy our titles, and finally that our games offer entertainment alongside strong math models with big win potential."
Could you give us insider info about what’s coming next from Just For The Win?
"We have many exciting titles planned for this year with some truly captivating themes. First up, we’re heading back to the Wild West with the sequel Western Gold 2, a high volatility slot and lots of fun! Also coming up is Divine Riches: Helios, inviting players into the mythical realm of the Greek Sun God with a host of features, medium volatility slot and enchanting visuals.
