Hacksaw has gone all out with the visuals of the Bloodthirst slot. Set at midnight, a giant full moon hovers over a darkened castle surrounded by a village. The dark and stone reels are set against a forest, with a mountain on the left. This perfect blend of eerie imagery is greatly complemented by the atmospheric sounds and harpsichord melody that plays throughout.

When it comes to symbols, 10-A card royals comprise the low-value category, paying up to 1x the stake for a full line. The higher-paying symbols are the ghoul, lady vampire, werewolf, and a monstrous vampire character, worth up to 10x the stake. 

Wilds are represented by a red star and substitute for pay symbols to form winning combinations on top of their payout potential. Finally, the Scatter is represented by a Pentagram and may trigger either the Bloodthirst Free Spins or the Immortal Free Spins features.

Monster Reels Feature

The 4 high-pay symbols may land stacked, creating a 4x1 Monster Reel. Regular wins, if formed, will be paid out first before the reel itself pays out a set value. These values are 5x for ghouls, 10x for lady vampires, 15x for werewolves, and 20x for the vampire character. 

Monster Takeover Feature

This feature will be triggered if all 5 reels are the same type of Monster Reels. Regular wins won’t be paid out. Instead, the player will be awarded a prize depending on the Monster Reel symbols. These prizes are 100x for ghouls, 250x for lady vampires, 1,000x for werewolves, and 2,000x for vampires.

Bloodthirst Free Spins Feature

To trigger this feature, you will need to land 3 Scatters on the same spin. You are awarded 10 free spins without the possibility to retrigger. The Bloodthirst Free Spins play the same as the base game, except the chance to trigger Monster Reels is slightly increased.

Immortal Free Spins Feature

This feature is triggered by landing 4 Scatters simultaneously. You will be awarded 10 free spins again, but a random high-pay symbol will be selected before the feature starts. The chosen symbol will be the only one that can land stacked, and if it does, the reel it landed on becomes a Monster Reel for the duration of the feature.

The symbol may be upgraded to the next highest-paying one. For this to happen, a Potion symbol must land. There is also no way to retrigger this feature once it has started.

In my opinion, the Bloodthirst slot is another quality slot by Hacksaw Gaming. The graphics are amazing and are combined with fantastic gameplay. 

There is also a great combination of high volatility and a tremendous maximum win potential of up to 10,000x the stake. It would have been more exciting if the number of paylines was higher, but the bonus features can create a spectacular gaming experience.
