The Ashoka slot is played on a relatively large grid of 6 reels and 8 rows, but not all positions will be utilised on every spin, as some of them will have blockers. This type of setup allows for more dynamic gameplay with the Scatter Pays mechanic.

Design, Symbols, and Graphics

As I said, the slot is set in a lush and overgrown Asian jungle. A many-armed statue stands on the left side of the reels, while the right side holds a rolling stone door. The Ashoka slot uses a darker colour palette, adding intrigue and mystery. Moreover, rhythmic soundtrack and chants complete the experience.

The stone grid is decorated with gold engravings, and the paytable is pretty colourful. Starting from the bottom, I first came across the J-A royals worth up to 5x the stake for 15 or more symbols. They are followed by blue, green, orange and red gems and a tiger, comprising the high-paying category. These can pay up to 100x the stake for a combination of 15 or more symbols.

I already mentioned the blocker symbols, which can be removed by creating a win adjacent to them. Moreover, 3 wild symbols can land on the grid - Regular Wild, Charged Wild, and Big Wild. Additionally, skulls present scatters and can trigger the bonus round, but more about them later.

Avalanche Feature

Once a winning combination is formed, the participating symbols will explode from the reels, destroying the adjacent block symbols in the process. This will result in new symbols dropping in all empty positions, possibly leading to new winning combinations, more available positions, and perhaps even bigger wins.

Bonus Game Feature

Landing at least 3 scatters on the same spin will trigger the Bonus Game feature and award you 10 free spins. Any active multiplier is transferred over to the bonus round.
