Hi, Farhad! We're glad to have you on the hot seat in this week's provider interview series. Before we begin, could you introduce yourself and Crazy Tooth Studio to our readers?
"Crazy Tooth Studio® was founded in 2011 in Reno, Nevada. I started with CTS in 2012 and prior to that, I worked on land-based slot machines at International Game Technology (IGT). I have a mechanical engineering background with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Fluid Mechanics and Thermal Sciences. At Crazy Tooth Studio®, I help manage the integration of our games into various platforms and provide engineering support and full development for a variety of our games."
At SlotsWise, we’re very excited about your upcoming 777 Rainbow Respins slot. This game is built with the RESPINS INSANITY™ feature, so what players can expect from it?
"777 Rainbow Re-Spins™ is an exciting 4 reel leprechaun themed game launching on March 10th. With it being a RESPIN INSANITY™ game, the player can expect a highly compelling math ride where each win leads to a chance to get more wins! It also has RESPIN INSANITY™ Bonus Spins with locking multipliers so the player can really pile on the wins."
Among your newest releases is the innovative Golden Hook slot that has no rows, no reels, and no paylines. Can you tell us more about it? Where does the idea of creating such games come from?
"Golden Hook™ takes a concept that most people are familiar with – fishing – and turns it into a slot game where you can win in a very understandable manner. Hook a fish to start winning, try to reel in the fish to increase your potential win, collect the fish to capture the win.
This is all done in a way that is simultaneously unique and instantly familiar. Sometimes we try to find inspiration for our games by taking exciting scenarios that people are familiar with and seeing how we can incorporate a betting component into it."
Your website announces more new games for the following months - Build The Bank and Bubble Beez. When will these games be available to play and what features will they include?
These games will be available in Q3/Q4 of this year. Both of these games feature brand new mechanics so we are very excited about them. Build The Bank™ will be our first Mega Pile™ game. With the Mega Pile™ mechanic, players will be able to build up stacks of credit awards all while working towards three increasing prizes! Bubble Beez™ is our first Tumble Reelz™ feature game.
With Tumble Reelz™ the players win symbols award and are then replaced by new symbols which can keep the wins going - in an exciting and fast-paced manner. Different symbol combinations lead to different behaviours when the symbols are replaced! More information about both of the set games will be coming soon!
What exactly is the Incisor development platform?
"Incisor™ is the software development platform that we use to build our online and land-based games. It is a one-stop-shop for engineering, art, and animation that provides an easy way to collaborate between multiple disciplines in a fast, scalable environment whose applications go far beyond just the slot gaming market. How your games have grown in terms of gameplay and graphics since your first release?
"With each subsequent release, we try to make the game a smaller download size while increasing the production value of all the assets in the game. These two things are usually at odds with each other but it has forced us to come up with clever solutions so that we can get gorgeous assets and great sound into the game in much smaller download size. For example, with our first iGaming release, we were aiming to have a 10MB game while now we aim for a 2-3MB game. It has forced us to innovate."
If you could choose one, what game from Crazy Tooth Studio would be your personal favourite and why?
"My personal favourite game would be Rhino Rilla Rex™. Rhino Rilla Rex™ answers the age-old question of, “What would you get if you combined a Rhinoceros, a Gorilla, and a Tyrannosaurus Rex?” and uses the Team-Up Reels™ feature. Anytime you land three or more full creature symbols, you trigger either a feature or bonus. This really increases the frequency that you can trigger events. It also has four Creature Awards that increment every time you land a full stacked symbol. It is releasing on April 21, 2022."
What games from other providers inspire you to create your slots?
"There are quite a few other provides who are making great games that inspire us. Some examples include Pink Elephants 2, Valley of the Gods, and 9 Masks of Fire. We also like to look at games in other platforms like mobile games, PC games, and console games for inspiration - seeing things done well inspires us to try harder."
