New Games Ahead Of The Upcoming ICE London 2019

The largest and most important gambling event is ahead of us – yes, of course we’re talking about the London ICE Conference, organised by Totally Gaming. There are multiple ICE events all over the world, but the London event is a pretty important one. It usually takes place at the beginning of February, and this year it commences of the 5th of February and ends on the 7th.

A total of 33,000 people attended the even in 2018, and more than 150 countries were represented. What’s even more impressive is that around 8,500 operators presented their products and services at the Conference and more than two thirds of all those who visited the event in 2018 said that they would come again.

Most slots developers are always releasing new titles ahead or at the event, so they could use it to promote them and strike deals with popular casinos. Things were no different this year, so, let’s have a look at the top game releases ahead of ICE London.

NetEnt With A Content-First Approach

NetEnt is one of the largest, if not the largest slots software provider and they have developed some of the most popular and most played online slots in the past few years, even decades, so you shouldn’t be surprised that we’re starting with the news on NetEnt.

Despite the fact that they released few top-notch games in 2018, the year still was quite challenging for NetEnt. The company appointed a new chief exec, and one of the key goals going forward in 2019 is to employ a more content-first approach which, they feel, would enable them to deliver the desired results.

The goal, as described by Therese Hillman (the new CEO) is to outperform the market, which is something they managed to do only in some territories. It is interesting to note that games developed six or seven years ago are still the best performing ones. So, Starburst, a game that was released back in 2012 and Gonzo’s Quest which was released a year earlier, are still among the most played NetEnt games.

NetEnt are aware that the market has changed significantly in the past several years and that it would be extremely difficult to repeat the success of these titles. There are hundreds of studios releasing new games on a regular basis.

Cubee And Cazino Cosmos Released

Speaking of new releases, other providers have been quite busy, so let’s have a look at some of the games that have been released ahead of the ICE London, or that are planned to be presented at the Conference.

RTG have just released Cubee, a game with a pretty unique and original design, where the main character Cubee travels through time from the Stone Age to the Viking Age. The game features orbital reels, so the layout is not a standard one, you will see the symbols arranged in a circular pattern, with one symbol appearing in the middle of the circle.

Cazino Cosmos is the newest release by Yggdrasil. The game resembles their 2015 Cazino Zeppelin release from 2015, a game that resembled NetEnt’s Dead or Alive. Cazino Cosmos can be played with a minimum of 10p, whereas the maximum wager is £30. The game comes with a Free Spins feature and you could get up to 20 Free Spins, depending on how many scatters you get on the reels.

Few other online slots have also been released, including Faerie Spells by Betsoft, Ticket to the Starts by Quickspin, Magic Stars by Wazdan and more.
