Treasures Of Troy Slot Review

What We Say -Classically-themed slots aren't exactly scarce, so how do you distinguish yours from the competition? If you're IGT, you implement 'independent reels'. What this means is that, rather than sticking together five reels, the grid consists of 20 completely separate symbols. And each one of the 20 rotates as though assigned its very own reel. Of course, the grid is still effectively split into rows and columns, and the MultiWay feature means that you can count combos going along rows, but also when they appear in columns. In practice, it's not really very different from a 'reel' slot machine with lots of Ways To Win. The visual effect takes some getting used to, though.

Otherwise, Treasures of Troy is a fairly serious take on a Roman theme. The graphics are crisp, although not the most eye-catching or interesting. The sound effects can also be a little repetitive. The jewel, though, is the Free Spins round, which, once triggered, tends to last for a lengthy period, throwing out various rewards the whole time.

You do get a lot of possible combos with this game, and the Free Spins Round is suitably lucrative. For those who want lots of action, but don't mind their slots being a little stolid visually, this offers something a little different.

How to Win - All reels are independent. The Treasures of Troy Logo is the Wild, and substitutes for most other symbols. Two Trojan Horse Scatters activate Free Spins Bonus Round. Two scatters gets you 10 free spins and a 2x Multiplier, three Horses 15 free spins and a 3x Multiplier, and four Horses 20 free spins and a 4x Multiplier.  Free Spins can be retriggered for up to 130 spins.
