Regarding the layout arrangement, I didn’t find the Devil’s Trap slot very creative, as it offers a standard 5x3 grid. Winning combinations are also created in a typical way by landing at least three matching symbols successively across a payline, starting from the left. The game comes with 20 paylines in total.

The Devil’s Trap slot does offer a fantastic betting range, though, suitable for most types of players. Options span from £0.20 to £100 per spin.

Design, Symbols and Graphics

Among the best and most striking things about this game are the visuals. The developers have done an excellent job with the design, and the vibrant colours made my experience more immersive. The reels are covered in lights, while the backdrop depicts an abandoned circus with different coloured ghosts floating around. 

Starting from the bottom of the paytable, there are poison vials with 10-A royals, making up the low-value category. They are followed by high-value symbols, depicted as a spider, a snake in a cup, a zombie hand, and a crow, potentially delivering up to 100x the take for a full payline.

A Jack o Lantern is the game’s wild that can replace regular pay symbols in winning combinations. There is also a bonus symbol presented as a witch’s hat and a special nudging wild.

Bonus Reel Feature

To activate this feature, I had to land three bonus symbols simultaneously. The Bonus Reel will be positioned over the first two regular reels, and the possibilities include:

• A respin with up to 10 wild symbols;
• Bonus round with 10, 15, or 20 free spins.

Free Spins Feature

During this bonus round, the scatter symbols will remain on the grid, creating possibilities to win some of the abovementioned prizes. Moreover, an extra reel will be added, showing multipliers of up to x100, which will be applied to the respective wins.

Nudging Wilds Features
