You have all probably heard about the legendary King Arthur who, according to medieval histories, led the defence of Britain against Saxon invaders in the late 5th and early 6th centuries. The details of Arthur's story are mainly composed of folklore and literary invention, with the most famous being the one in which Arthur obtained the British throne by pulling a sword from a stone. King Arthur Overview

King Arthur slots has five reels and ten paylines. Symbols on the reels include low value cards from 10 to Ace, jousting knights, Merlin, Queen Guinevere and the magical sword Excalibur, while the castle of Camelot serves as backdrop for the reels, along with some misty coastal hills and a lovely medieval music. King Arthur is the Wild, substituting for all other symbols except for the scatter.

Players can spin the reels from £0.10 to £10 per spin and enjoy 3 in-play bonus rounds starting with the Jousting, Free Spins and a Table Wheel that will be explained a bit further down this review.

The game can be played on PC, tablet or mobile device as soon as it goes live in April 2019.

How To Play King Arthur

King Arthur slots has only 10 active paylines, which means that the minimum amount you bet is £0.10 per spin. At the highest level, it’s once again an affordable amount – £10 (£1 per line). Doubling the regular bet value can get you access to the bonus wheel where you can wager more and even take out low value icons from the game area.

The interface is very simple, with Up/Down buttons that allow you to set your bet, a circular arrows button to start the reels and another, smaller circular arrows button with the ‘Play’ icon in the centre which activates the Autospin feature. This allows you to choose a number of automatic spins and give your index finger some rest.

The top payouts in King Arthur slots are awarded for landing a winning combination consisted of five matching symbols. Symbols are stacked up to three rows high except for the Wild which is two rows in all cases and offers the highest 5-of-a-kind payout at a substantial 500x the bet. Guinevere and Merlin are next, paying 10x the bet for five. Excalibur is worth 8 times the bet, as well as the A and K playing card icons. Jousting Bonus

This is a modifier which occurs randomly on any losing spin. You’ll see a Red Knight and a Blue Knight charging across one or two of the three rows from opposite sides. If they turn at least three symbols into a mystery symbol on different rows, it means that you get a minimum of two 3-of-a-kind combo wins as the lines pay from both ways during this feature. If they are charging each other on the same row, they will clash in the middle, throwing extra Wilds onto the grid.

Free Games

Landing three or more bonus scatters will trigger the Free Spins feature for which you will be awarded 10, 15 or 20 free spins. This feature can be retriggered and you also get five extra spins for two scatters. You’ll see a King Arthur Round Table wheel above the grid and whichever symbol is in the window of the wheel now acts as an expanding scatter. This means that three or more in view will offer a payout multiplied by 10 due to the 10 paylines through them.

Fortune Spins

You can select to raise your stake 10 times and as you do that, the expanding scatter pays as in the free games described above, but only for the random one showing in the Round Table over the grid. As we already mentioned, raising your bet also eliminates the lower symbols from that Round Table as you go. On all of the enhanced bet levels a Grail will be added to the wheel which, when landed, might award a cash multiplier which appears over the Grail when a full Wild is in view. The jousting feature occurs more frequently during this mode due to more losing spins.
