ELK Studios continues its highly successful Nitropolis series by adding a fourth game to the collection. It was back in 2020 when we first met the nitro gangs in the Nitropolis slot, after which the tension between them got bigger and shifted into Nitropolis 2.

The Nitropolis 4 slot is placed in a futuristic, dystopian world where four nitro gangs rule: the Dirty Dawgs, the Pug Thugs, the Rouge Rats, and the Gritty Kitties. 

This time, the gangs go deeper under the surface to search for hidden treasures. The background of the reels shows large buildings and an entrance to a control room. I love this game’s design; it’s sharp, high-quality, and has top-notch graphics. On top of that, the soundtrack is on point, so make sure not to turn off the music when playing.

On the reels, the low-paying symbols include J, Q, K, and A. Then come the medium-paying symbols, which are emblems of the four nitro gangs. Finally, the high-paying symbols are the leaders of those gangs, paying up to 3x the bet.

The Nitropolis 4 slot has a wild symbol, too, designed as a naval mine. It substitutes for the regular symbols to help you win. The submarine is the scatter symbol, and it triggers the bonus found. You can also land Mega Symbols, Nitro Reels, and Nitro Multipliers.

The Avalanche feature triggers every time you form a winning combination. Then, the winning symbols will disappear from the reels, and new ones will fall down to replace them. Big Symbols

Nitro Reels

The Nitro Reels can take up to two positions on the grid. They can land on any reel, containing 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 regular symbols. There are also Big Nitro Reels, which take up to six positions and contain 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 Super symbols.

Nitro Multiplier

Similar to Nitro Reels, the Nitro Multiplier takes up two positions on the grid and counts as one symbol. When it lands, it’ll multiply all current wins. The multiplier can be worth 4x, 6x, 8x, 10x, or 12x the bet. If you land more than one multiplier, they’ll be combined to give you the final payout.

Nitro Booster

My favourite feature of the Nitropolis 4 slot is the Nitro Booster feature because it includes 8 possible modifiers! You’ll notice two displays above the reel set, where Nitro Boosters can appear. Here’s what you can win:

• Redrop - all scatter symbols and Nitro Reels remain on the grid while the other symbols are replaced with new ones to give you another chance of winning;
• Both Ways - you’ll be able to win in both ways, from left to right and from right to left;
• Garbage Collect - the game will remove random symbols from the reels, resulting in Avalanche;
• Max Rows - the grid will expand to its full capacity, which is 8 rows;
• Nitro Appear - a random Nitro Reel will appear on the grid;
• Nitro Wild - an existing Nitro Reel will be filled with wild symbols;
• Nitro Upgrade - an existing Nitro Reel will have its value increased. If there’s no Nitro Reel in view, the feature will remain until one appears;
• Nitro Match - an existing Nitro Reel will be matched with another symbol to form a win. If there’s no winning match, the Nitro Reel will be matched with an adjacent Nitro Reel. If that’s not possible, the Nitro Reel will be matched with a high-value adjacent symbol.

Free Spins Feature

To trigger the Free Spins feature, you need to land at least 3 scatters on the same spin. Landing 3, 4, 5 or 6 scatters will give you 8, 12, 16, or 20 free spins, respectively. During the feature, Nitro Reels are sticky. At the same time, each win increases the level by one row.

If one of the triggering scatters is a Super Scatter, then the Super Free Spins feature will be triggered. There, you’ll receive the same number of free spins, but Max Rows and Both Ways are always active.

X-iter Feature

The X-iter feature, which is unfortunately not available for players in the UK, gives you the chance to pay a certain amount and activate a bonus feature or to get some kind of an advantage in the game. Here’s what you can get:

• Bonus Hunt - costs 2x the bet with more than double chances of triggering the Free Spins feature;
